Triangle Forest in Studio '99

I know more about Chinese Algebra than I do about Electronica music, but I do know good music when I hear it. Triangle Forest makes good music. This three-piece, synthesizer heavy, group from Providence, RI produce some of the catchiest music I’ve ever heard. I was fortunate enough to catch their set at JJ’s Bohemia on Tuesday night, long after much of the crowd had dispersed. It ended up being one of the most enjoyable concerts I’ve seen in a while. If you’re a fan of “robo-rock” or “electro-pop” or just a fan of the kind of music that makes you get down with your bad self, definitely check out Triangle Forest. I did and it was wonderful.

Nightfall continues tonight with Bonerama in Miller Plaza. Admission is free. Showtime is 7p.m.

JJ’s Bohemia brings three bands tonight: The Current, The Nim Nims, and Wilson the Rocker. Tickets are $5. Showtime is tentatively scheduled for 9 p.m.

Saturday night, the Local features ZombieMessiah’s Birthday Bash. I’m not sure who ZombieMessiah is but it promises to be a good time with Double Dick Slick, The Loose Screws, the Creeping Cruds and more bands scheduled.

Have a great week.
