Healy considering run for mayor of Chattanooga

Rob Healy, former administrator of the city's Parks and Recreation department, has inquired about eligibility requirements to run for mayor of Chattanooga next March.

Mr. Healy was fired in March 2006 by Mayor Ron Littlefield after he complained about Mr. Littlefield's decision to move the then Parks and Recreation administator to Outdoor Chattanooga.

Mr. Healy slammed the mayor's decision during a meeting of the City Council.

Mr. Healy has sought legal opinion on the amount of time needed to live within the city limits in order seek office.

Jerry Summers, attorney for the Hamilton County Election Commission, shared this information at the commission’s meeting this morning.
