Chamber events

Classical Chamber: Trevor Hamilton, Chamber vice president for economic development, will discuss the local economy with WSMC Radio station manager David Brooks on 90.5 FM on Tuesday at 10:10 a.m.

Ambassadors Meeting: The Chamber Ambassadors will meet Tuesday at Nikko’s Southside Grill, 1400 Cowart St. from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

East Ridge: The East Ridge Chamber will meet at noon Tuesday at the East Ridge Community Center, 1517 Tombras Ave. Hamilton County General Sessions Court Judge Bob Moon will be the speaker. The cost of lunch is $10.

Ooltewah/Collegedale: The Ooltewah/Collegedale Chamber will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Collegedale City Hall, 4910 Swinyar Drive. The speaker will be Lisa McCluskey, vice president of marketing and communications with Memorial Healthcare System.

Other Chamber events:

n The Hixson Chamber will meet at noon Wednesday at the North River Civic Center, 1009 Executive Drive. The speaker will be Wayne Huddleston, project manager for Core Engineering for the Chickamauga Dam Lock project. The cost of lunch is $10.

n The Soddy-Daisy/North Hamilton County Chamber will meet at noon Thursday for a networking session at the Soddy-Daisy City Hall, 9835 Dayton Pike. The cost of lunch is $10.

Seminars, meetings

Business Planning: The Tennessee Small Business development center will host a free business planning seminar Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Business Development Center, 100 Cherokee Blvd. The seminar will cover basic business planning, financial projections and legal entity. Business Advice: Free business help available from members of Score, Counselors to America’s Small Business, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Monday through Friday at the Franklin Building, suite 515, 5726 Marlin Road, at Eastgate Town Center. For more information, call 553-1722.

Business Planning: Free counseling for business people available from the Chattanooga Small Development Center Business Development Center, 100 Cherokee Blvd., Suite 202. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fridays.
