East Ridge police have arrested a burglary suspect caught in the act.
Auandray G. Windmon, 39, of East Ridge was charged with aggravated burglary and vandalism and now is in Hamilton County Jail, said East Ridge police spokesman Officer Erik Hopkins. Windmon is scheduled to appear in East Ridge Municipal Court on May 5 at 5 p.m., Hopkins said
About 7:30 a.m. today, East Ridge police responded to 913 State Line Road, Apartment 702, on a call of a possible burglary in progress, Hopkins siad.
After police arrived, a witness told them she had heard a loud noise and went to investigate, finding two windows had been broken out of the neighboring apartment.
Police found Windom hiding in a closet inside Apartment 702, Hopkins said.
