Two killed in North Lee highway crash

Two people were killed Wednesday afternoon in a car crash on North Lee Highway.

Bradley County Sheriff spokesperson Bob Gault said it appears the 1998 Ford Explorer crossed over the left side of the road and struck several trees.

Two rear seat passengers were killed, while the driver and two other passengers were injured and treated at Skyridge Medical Center, Gault said.

The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash, which was reported just before 3 p.m.

The victims names are not being released until the family members have been notified.
