An East Ridge Elementary School student has come forward with allegations that he was molested by two other students in a school bathroom, police said.
Officer Erik Hopkins, spokesman for the East Ridge Police Department, also said investigators now believe a 13-year-old East Ridge Middle School student who told police she was raped at the school "lied to police concerning the location of this incident and whether a stranger was involved."
Officers initially thought the alleged rape occurred at East Ridge Middle on Thursday afternoon, but they now say that the incident did not happen on school grounds, according to a news release. They are investigating to determine whether a crime was committed elsewhere, Hopkins said.
The new sexual assault allegation comes from an 11-year-old autistic student at the elementary school who says he was molested by two 10- or 11-year-olds March 30. Police still are investigating these claims, Hopkins reported.
No names have been released because the involved parties are juveniles.
