You absolutely should win a prize for the best picture on your profile page! Hysterical! My husband had a good laugh, too. Thanks for that!

I don't support maintaining the status quo! The federal government has begun colluding with big business and big banks. The feds are behaving more like a Fascist state than the Constitutional Republic we are supposed to be.

I wish you could recognize that the federal government is more to blame for our current problems than big business and banks. The federal government created the environment that allows big to dominate small in the free market. The federal government is the one who hands out special favors and turns the other way when big banks and business misbehave. The legitimate role of the federal government is to responsibly regulate the free market and to break up banks and businesses that have grown so large they are “too big to fail” and have achieved monopolistic levels of control over parts of our economy.

Can you not see that?

A legitimate role of government is to prevent banking and business from doing harm to citizens. Government has assumed the role of supporting and encouraging big business to engage in harmful behavior rather than deter it. Leftist seem to think government is the answer to everything and are unwilling to recognize government’s contribution to the problems that face us today. The problem is that when you allow government to collude with business it results in a great concentration of power, an uncontrollable concentration of power.

Big business can only be accused of “owning” government because government is willing to work with big business and establish market controls and rules that favor big business. Can you not see the naiveté of your position?

Both Democrats and Republicans are guilty in this regard. Don’t you wonder why you are still complaining about Wall Street after Dodd/Frank was supposed to fix everything? Where is the useful regulation? Where is the reform? Where is The Change you hoped for when you voted for Barack Obama (big assumption there, but your statements lead me to believe)? You have politicians who are trying to gain favor with special interests and selling favors at our expense. Where is your outrage? Why do you let government officials off the hook for taking the bribes and granting the favors?

The fleabaggers should be camped out in in Washington DC, the real source of the problem.
